51黑料网 announces a strategic partnership with Texas Wesleyan University that will provide students with a seamless pathway to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. This collaboration underscores the institutions’ shared commitment to fostering student success, increasing diversity in the nursing workforce, and addressing the critical demand for healthcare professionals.
Under the agreement, students who complete Texas Wesleyan鈥檚 Associate of Arts in Science degree 鈥� currently pending the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) approval 鈥� and meet admission criteria will have guaranteed access to the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing鈥檚 BSN program offered through McMurry University. This school of nursing is Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited and Texas Board of Nursing (TXBON) approved. Eligible students will benefit from a streamlined admissions process, waived application fees, access to academic advisors, and availability of at least 30 spots in McMurry’s BSN program annually. Students will also be advised of financial aid and scholarship opportunities as they progress through the program.

The announcement comes as McMurry University solidifies its position as a leader in nursing education. On December 10, the SACSCOC board approved McMurry鈥檚 acquisition of Hardin-Simmons University鈥檚 share in the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. The transition, effective January 2025, will grant McMurry sole ownership of the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing鈥攁 significant milestone as the university strengthens its programs to meet the needs of future healthcare professionals.
